other support

There are many other organisations besides asto that can help with you mental health issues.

Our virtual group therapy programme is now fully operational

If however, having read everything that we offer, you feel this isn’t for you, then in the first instance we would urge you to go to your GP.

Your GP will do an initial assessment, and you can take it from there with the NHS.

If you are covered by private health insurance, or indeed you can afford the treatment from your own pocket, then your GP can refer you to a private specialist local to you.

There are a number of helplines that you can also try:

  • Our friends at OCD Action, for OCD related support. Their website is www.ocdaction.org.uk. Helpline number 0300 636 5478.

  • Mind for a wide range of mental health support. Their website is www.mind.org.uk. Their helpline number is 0300 123 3393.

  • The Samaritans. Their website is www.samaritans.org. Their helpline number is 116 123.
